DR. SMT.GIRIJA SESHADRI-SARVA KALA VALLABHA

Self-belief made a young 25 year old mother of two to take up the challenge of starting a school with just 7 children in 1975. Today it has grown into a massive group of 17 Hindu Vidyalayas with 15,000 children across TamilNadu.

Her Guru, Shri. Vedantamji gave her the vision for the schools. It was her Mission to make that a Reality.

Several Awards have been bestowed on Dr. Girija Seshadri during her illustrious career spanning 43 years till date. The most coveted are

  • 2002: National Best Teacher Award from the Honourable President APJ. Abdul Kalam.


  • 1997: Dr. Radhakrishnan Award given by the Tamilnadu Government.


  • 1997: "Siksha Samasthan Puraskar" by Gandhi Peace Organisation.


  • 1998: "Seva Ratna" by The Centenarian Trust.


  • 1998: "Best Principal" Award by NIIT-Leda.


  • 2002: "Guru vandan" Best Teacher Award by Bharath Vikas Parishad.


  • 2004: "Jayendra Saraswathi Life Time Achievement Award" by The Centenarian Trust.


  • 2005: "Padma VidyaSagar" Award by Padma Sarangapani Cultural Academy.


  • 2007: "Oorjawan Pracharak" by Hindi Prachar Sabha.


  • 2007: "Sahayogi Samastha Puraskar" by Gandhi Integrated Forum Trust.


  • 2008: "Women of Excellence Award" by Priya Vision.


  • 2008: Madras University conferred on her the "Doctorate in Education"


  • 2015: "Life Time Achievement Award" by the Lions club.


  • 2015: "Vidya Poshaka Award" by Sri. V. Narayana Iyer Memorial Trust.


  • 2016: "Kalvi Pani Semmal" Award from Thiruvavaduthurai Adheenam.


  • 2017: "Vidya Ratna" from Lioness club, Nandambakkam.


  • 2017: "Sadanai Pennmani" by THAMBRAAS.


Dr. Smt. Girija Seshadri is a name to conjure up, an achiever par excellence, a model teacher and mother, a role model to her staff and students. Let her life inspire and motivate many more to come forward to serve the Noble Cause of Education.
